A 1.3 kg battery projector with Google TV and Harman Kardon sound. Best for moving between rooms, ceiling viewing or a chalet night. Needs a dark room.

Quick verdict

Buy it if you want one projector that goes from bedroom ceiling to living room to a picnic, and you watch after dark. Skip it if you watch in a bright living room in the afternoon. At 450 ISO lumens it will look washed out; a 2,500+ lumen projector suits that room better.

What's good

  • Battery runs up to 2.5 hours, or up to 5 hours on the PowerBase stand (sold separately). That covers a full film.
  • Google TV with licensed Netflix, so no dongle needed.
  • Built-in stand turns 360°, with automatic image alignment, so you can point it at the ceiling.
  • Dual Harman Kardon speakers, and it doubles as a Bluetooth speaker.

What to know

  • 450 ISO lumens is dim in daylight. Draw the curtains or wait for evening.
  • 1080p only, not 4K.
  • Singapore humidity: store with silica gel or in a dry cabinet if unused for weeks.

Alternatives to consider

  • Brighter, no battery: Epson EF-61. 3LCD laser, 700 lumens, better colour, but must stay plugged in.
  • Cheaper: XGIMI Vibe One. Same Google TV, but dimmer, with a 1.2 hour battery.
